Well, after nearly 36" of snow dumping down on us, we're officially snowed in for the weekend :) Luckily, my working out is done strictly at home, so it hasn't affected my routine at all.
I noticed it's definitely harder to eat right on the weekends then during the week. At least from 8-5, I know what I'll be eating, and I know that i'll be eating well. However today for example it was a lot harder because the kids and the hubby were home. None the less:
Brekkie: None...slept in til 11 AM :)
Mid-morning snack: String cheese
Lunch: Beef oodles of noodles...totally not healthy, but it was quick and relatively low cal compared to some other things in the cupboard
Mid-afternoon snack: Cheese Sandwich (lite bread, cheese, bit 'o ketchup...i'm weird i know)
Dinner: boneless, no skin chicken breast with bbq sauce, stir-fry mixed veggies consisting of carrots, cauliflower, zucchini, and beans
After-workout smoothie: Vanilla protein powder (22 grams protein), cinnamon, water, ice, and cottage cheese (13 grams protein). The cottage cheese was something new I wanted to try, to try to get some extra after-workout protein, without adding more powder. So far I like it ok, but I think i'll need to add some sort of flavoring to really love it. Plus it's a bit lighter on the calories too.
protein powder - 100 calories for 15 grams
cottage cheese - 80 calories for 13 grams
Every little bit counts :)
Well, that's all for now. No pics for this post, because I'm just too darn lazy to upload one after working out...heh
